​​What does "Creative Black Tie Optional" mean?
Gentlemen, we kindly ask for you to dress in a tuxedo or formal suit. Bold colors, patterns, textures, and creative twists are all encouraged, but entirely optional. Classic, traditional formalwear is always a great choice.

Ladies, long gowns are encouraged. While we are keeping the dress code formal, feel free to embrace color, prints, textures, and accessories that showcase your personal style. Creative touches are optional but encouraged for those who want to have fun with their look.
Since the ceremony will take place on the grass, we recommend opting for a block heel or dressy flats for comfort. We can’t wait to celebrate in style with you!​

When should I arrive to the ceremony?
If you are taking personal transportation, please arrive 20 minutes before the ceremony begins. This will give you plenty of time to find your seat and settle in. Please note, the venue gates will close and lock when the ceremony begins and will not reopen until after the ceremony has ended.

Can I bring a guest/date?
We have thoughtfully planned our guest list. Please refer to the invitation for details on whether a plus one has been included. If you are unsure, do not hesitate to reach out to us!

Where should I park?
Designated parking will be available at the venue. Attendants will be on hand to guide you to your spot. Please follow the signs and instructions from our parking team.

While we absolutely adore the little ones, we have decided to keep the celebration an adult-only event. We appreciate your understanding!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We will be having an unplugged ceremony, which means we kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during this special moment. Our professional photographer will be capturing everything, and we look forward to sharing those photos with you soon after. Thank you for being fully present and respecting this request!
Is the venue indoors or outdoors?
Most of our wedding will be held outdoors, so please keep that in mind when planning your attire. The ceremony will be held outside on the grass overlooking the Ashley River. For those who want to keep the party going, the after-party will be held indoors.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?
Your invitation will request any dietary restrictions or preferences, so please be sure to fill that out. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Is there a backup plan for bad weather?
Absolutely! We have an amazing team that will take care of everything. Just come ready to enjoy the day!
What is the weather like in October?
October in Charleston is typically mild and beautiful, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s during the day and cooler evenings. It is a lovely time of year, with the humidity starting to ease, making it perfect for an outdoor celebration!
​​What is the dress code for the welcome party?
The welcome party will be semi-formal. Gentlemen, we suggest dress slacks or chinos with a button-down shirt, and a blazer or sport coat if you would like. Ties are optional. Ladies, cocktail dresses, dressy skirts with a nice top, or a chic jumpsuit are all perfect choices. Please keep in mind, these are suggestions.
